Salon Perfect Eyes - Makeup Tips For Prom Any Beyond

We've offered up our top three tips for eye makeup! Start with nicely shaped brows, and a bit of primer on your eyelids so your makeup lasts longer.

EYE-MAKEUP TIP 1:  If you're focusing on your eyes, of course - you're going full-on with shadow, liner, mascara and more - downplay the lips a bit to draw more attention to your eyes. Choose a lighter lip shade, or even a neutral nude to really make your smoky eye stand out.

EYE-MAKEUP TIP 2:  Here's where you can get serious POP: choose a good eyeshadow color, that compliments your natural eye color.  And do to this effectively, you would use something on the other side of the color wheel (slightly 'complimentary colors') For example, blue eyes are complimented by pinks, and browns - while green eyes are complimented by purples and deep violets.  Play around with your shades until you get something that just glows.

EYE-MAKEUP TIP 3:  If you can, go to the salon and get some eyelash extensions. These look SO natural and last much longer. No time? Use some falsies for the night (eyelashes that is!) False eyelashes can really complete your look when done correctly. If done wrong, you will have hours of watery, irritated eyes and half-hanging fake-looking eyelashes.
